Gardening that connects children with nature
At Jayapriya Vidyalaya Matriculation school, Nature nurturers club is basically an Eco green club. This club will empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior.
It also offers hands on experiential learning opportunities in a wide array of disciplines including natural & social science, math and language arts. Some of the activities are as follows
At Jayapriya Vidyalaya Matriculation school, Handy Mandy club is an Art and Craft club. In Handy Mandy club the children have the opportunity to use a variety of materials to create 2d and 3d pieces of art work from painting, to collage, sewing and sketching. The children will have free choice activities and structured opportunities throughout the sessions. There is no doubt that arts and crafts are fun activities for kids. Be it coloring with crayons or making miniature statues from clay, folding paper to create fine origami or designing a handmade birthday card, there are several arts and crafts activities, which can enhance the interest of the children and exploit their artistic potential.
By introducing arts and crafts to the students and involving them in such activities, it helps in building their cognitive, physical, and social development.
The club is focused on healthy lifestyle by making sensible choices about food, teaching students cooking skills, exploring ingredients, examining recipes, learning to use appliances and equipment safely and observing live cooking demonstrations. They are all given opportunities to prepare tasty, healthy meals which they can take home to share with their families.
Heritage Club in JPV is about discovering the culture and heritage of our country as well as other heritage sites around the world. Heritage Club is also an attempt to understand all aspects that makes the identity of our Indian civilization or any other civilization in the world.
Students are introduced about the rich cultural values, customs and traditions of our country. The Heritage Hub aims at moulding the personality of students and exposes them to a wide range of cultural events throughout the year. Apart from participating in a multitude of events, the students also get a first hand experience of organizing and managing the events, and of course, it caters to the creative needs of the students.
